About the role

At Melbourne & Olympic Parks, we're seeking a skilled Operations Leader to join our team. As an Operations Leader, you'll play a key role in overseeing the production and operations functions of our venues, ensuring seamless event delivery and exceptional customer experiences.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead the operational management of our NBL and Super Netball tenant clubs, delivering elite sporting events to our customers and large international and domestic broadcast audiences.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across rigging, audiovisual, lighting, and infrastructure to deliver events with iconic organisations like Mushroom Group, Secret Sounds, Live Nation, TEG, and Destro All Lines.
  • Support the growth of our operations team through leadership and operational guidance, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to plan and execute events, ensuring operational excellence, detailed planning, and risk management.
  • Contribute to the development of our operations strategy, aligning with business objectives and driving growth.

Your skills and experience

  • Proven experience in event operations planning and delivery within an arena, major stadium, events centre, or mixed entertainment environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a focus on motivating and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balancing competing demands and priorities.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance, with a focus on ensuring the well-being of team members, guests, and stakeholders.
