Job Role

We are seeking a Traffic Officer to join our Cane Supply and Transport team, managing our train network and assets throughout the Herbert, Burdekin, Proserpine and Plane Creek regions.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Coordinating the safe movement of trains on the railway network
  
• Maintaining correct procedure for operation of two way radio network
  
• Maintain the correct and efficient procedure for use of Electronic Mimic Boards
  
• Efficiently operate and amend ToTools (Transport Scheduling Software)
  
• Ensuring a continuous supply of cane to the mill
  
• Maintaining and adjusting loco schedules
  
• Personnel supervision and associated administration
  
• Coordination of on the job training for loco crews
  
• Record keeping and management of relevant information

Requirements

The successful candidate should have a good understanding of Cane Supply transport operations and be able to work effectively within a team environment.

Applicants should also possess excellent communication skills, good organisational and planning skills, and a self-driven ability to work with little or no supervision.

Intermediate level of computer skills and a manual 'C' class driver's licence are also required.
