Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated, results-driven Beverage Experience Manager to lead our beverage program and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The ideal candidate will have a customer-focused attitude, a passion for excellence, and a drive to succeed in this dynamic environment.

  • Provide expert guidance on wine, sake, and whiskies to enhance the guest experience.
  • Develop and maintain a beverage program aligned with our brand and culinary offerings.
  • Train and support staff in beverage knowledge and responsible service.
  • Curate and update the beverage list based on trends and stock.
  • Source high-quality products through suppliers and distributors.
  • Deliver engaging tastings and pairings for guests.
  • Manage stock control, cellar organization, and inventory.
  • Collaborate with the Chef and Restaurant Manager on menu and seasonal changes.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, and RSA laws.
  • Maintain grooming and presentation standards.
  • Participate in team meetings and training.
  • Support service during busy periods and manage service sections during quieter times.
  • Assist in beverage promotions and events to increase revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the beverage program, including wine, sake, and whisky lists.
  2. Develop and implement educational programs for staff on beverage knowledge.
  3. Collaborate with chefs and restaurateurs to create innovative menus and beverage pairings.
  4. Manage inventory, ordering, and logistics of beverages.
  5. Train and develop the skills of junior staff members.
