Vocational Trainer and Assessor

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Vocational Trainer and Assessor. This exciting opportunity is available in Adelaide CBD, where our campus is renowned for producing high-quality, industry-ready graduates.

The ideal candidate will possess current knowledge in community services, individual support, disability, mental health, and leisure and health. To excel in this position, you must have:

  • A qualification in Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability), Certificate IV in Disability, or Certificate IV in Mental Health
  • Experience in academic teaching, including training material development, face-to-face delivery, student engagement, and assessment in VET
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching expertise, including understanding of teaching and learning technologies such as Catapult and Moodle
  • Proven ability to update student records and mark assessments in a timely manner according to RTO compliance procedures
  • Able to work in a cross-cultural environment and support students from diverse backgrounds
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining industry and VET currency

The selection criteria are:

  • Demonstrated experience in vocational education and training
  • Vocational qualifications equal to or above the delivered courses
  • Relevant experience and industry currency in the trained and assessed area
  • Ability to demonstrate practical skills during lab sessions with students
  • Strong interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills
  • A current Police Check (issued within 6 months prior to commencement date)
