About the Role

Terra Mining Pty is seeking an experienced Drill Coordinator to join our dynamic drill and blast team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for optimizing drilling efficiency and ensuring safe drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Drilling Operations Management: Manage drilling crews, including contractors, to ensure efficient and safe drilling operations.
  2. Performance Monitoring: Monitor drill performance against weekly plans, identifying and addressing any issues that may impact deadlines.
  3. Reporting and Communication: Report any problems encountered during drilling operations to the relevant parties for resolution, and liaise with drill fitters and drillers to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  4. Training and Development: Oversee drilling operations, including training new employees and monitoring performance to ensure high standards are maintained.
  5. Supply Chain Management: Manage drill consumables to maximize utilization and minimize waste.
Requirements
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a Driller role on open pit, hard rock mining projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills.
  • High level of communication, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Intermediate level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Current C Class driver's license (HR license preferred, but not essential).
  • A positive CAN-DO attitude.
  • Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, including drug and alcohol testing.
  • Must have the right to work in Australia.
  • Current National Police Clearance, issued within the last twelve months.
