Job Overview

We are seeking a senior medical professional to lead our general practice team in Queenstown, Tasmania.

The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.

The Medical Centre is well-equipped and purpose-built, adjacent to the Queenstown Hospital and aged care facility.

The practice supports three full-time doctors with assistance from a full-time CDM trained Registered Nurse, administration staff, and visiting Allied Health professionals and ancillary services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Mentor and supervise junior medical staff
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve health outcomes for the community
Requirements:
  • General Registration or Vocational Registration with AHPRA
  • Proven experience in clinical leadership and quality improvement
  • Current emergency medicine certificate (APLS, ELS, etc.)
  • Recent experience in an unsupervised setting for VMO
  • Experience as a Senior/Lead GP is highly desirable
