Professional High-Risk Trainer and Assessor

PERSOLKELLY is a leading recruitment provider in Australia, specializing in professional, ICT, government, STEM, management, and executive talent. Our client, a prominent global leader in the minerals and resource industry, seeks an experienced High Risk Trainer Assessor to join their team.
Role OverviewThe successful candidate will contribute to the training and assessment of operational roles and activities across Newman Operations (excluding Load & Haul). This will include Mobile Equipment Maintenance, Fixed Plant Maintenance & Processing Production teams. The role is responsible for working with execution leaders, particularly Supervisors, to help build the required capabilities within their teams to maintain safety and performance during operations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Routine Safety Activities: Effectively prepare for and manage operational workload by conducting routine safety activities and verifications.
- Design and Deliver Training Plans: Review, design, and deliver training plans, training material, and training programs to ensure Safety, compliance, and performance in line with business and industry standards.
- Carry Out Performance Verifications: Conduct performance verifications against standards at the frontline, including coaching others in assessment and verification processes.
- Monitor Crew Performance: Continuously monitor crews' performance via matrix and other applications and initiate necessary input or support to ensure standards are achieved and maintained.
- Build Strong Interfaces: Build a strong interface with key customers (Mining Equipment Maintenance, Fixed Plant Maintenance, and Processing Production) and strive to meet their needs.
- Prioritise Operational Roles: Prioritise to achieving 100% safety, 100% customer value, and 0% waste of operational roles and activities.

In addition, the candidate should possess:
- High risk qualifications, including any of the High Risk Work License (HRWL) classes;
- A Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122);
- A strong background in Mobile Equipment Maintenance and/or Fixed Plant Maintenance or construction;
- A current HR Class Driver's License (essential or willing to gain);
- Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and work both independently and as part of a team;
- Proven experience and skills in the use of technology in managing work processes, data capture, and compliance reporting;
- Working knowledge of Learning Management principles;
- Experience with and understanding of training and verification of participant competency in the workplace.
