Job Description

Role Summary

The Victorian Government is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Classroom Teacher to join our team as a STEAM Specialist/Generalist Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate educator to make a meaningful contribution to the education of students in a STEAM program from Prep to Year 6.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement a STEAM program that aligns with the Victorian Curriculum and meets the needs of students.
  • Develop and deliver high-impact teaching strategies that promote student learning and engagement.
  • Monitor and assess student learning, using data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback to students and parents.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community to support student learning and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and priorities, and participate in professional learning to improve teaching practice.

Requirements

  • Relevant teaching qualifications and experience in a STEAM program.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills into teaching practice.
  • Experience in planning and implementing high-impact teaching strategies, and evaluating the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to reflect on practice and engage in professional learning to continually improve teaching practice.
