Role Summary:

This is a unique opportunity to work as a Speech and Literacy Specialist, delivering high-quality consultancy, coaching, and professional learning to regional and school communities in the area of speech, language, and literacy development.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing specialist support to educators, demonstrating substantial knowledge and experience in language and literacy programs for students with speech, language, and literacy difficulties and disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality consultancy, coaching, and professional learning to regional and school communities in the area of speech, language, and literacy development.
  • Develop, implement, and review speech, language, and literacy programs for students with speech, language, and literacy difficulties and disorders.
  • Provide specialist support to educators, developing and facilitating professional learning and building collaborative partnerships with a range of people across settings.

Requirements:

  • Substantial knowledge and experience in speech, language, and literacy within the context of Western Australia's public education system and operations at a school level.
  • Highly developed research, conceptual, and analytical skills, including the ability to use data to effectively inform change and generate innovative solutions to strategic and complex problems in the areas of speech, language, and literacy.
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner, providing specialist support to educators and building collaborative partnerships with a range of people across settings.
