About Andrews Meat Industries

Andrews Meat Industries is a leading food service meat supplier comprising three key divisions: foodservice, value added (cooked) and export. Across these divisions, the company supplies to all areas of the hospitality industry, including restaurants, cafes, hotels, clubs, and resort groups, as well as servicing a number of other market segments, including health and aged care, education, aviation, and sporting venues.

About the Role

The Quality Assurance Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of all products are maintained in accordance with product specifications and customer and legal requirements. This includes monitoring CCP and CP tasks, operational hygiene of personnel and the facility, and conducting regular product checks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain the quality of products in accordance with product specifications and customer and legal requirements.
  • Conduct regular product checks to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Monitor operational hygiene of personnel and the facility to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Assist with regular training of existing and new staff on quality procedures and protocols.

Requirements

  • Sound verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound computer skills (MS Office).
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience in the retail and/or export food industry.
