Communications Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic communications specialist to join our National Office.

This role involves providing communication support to senior officials, monitoring media, generating positive media coverage, and developing integrated online and offline communications in support of ETU campaigns and workplace organising.

The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Media/Communications, with three or more years' experience in corporate affairs, news media, digital production, political campaigning, not-for-profit organisations, public/media relations.

A key requirement is an understanding of and commitment to union values, principles and objectives of the Australian union movement. The ideal candidate will have high-level verbal and written skills, experience in monitoring and moderating social media platforms, website development and maintenance skills, multimedia production skills, and video editing software proficiency.

This is a full-time position, but we welcome requests to undertake the work flexibly. We value diversity and encourage applications from diverse backgrounds.
