Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Handyperson to join our team at the Novotel & ibis styles Melbourne Airport. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the building, plant, equipment, fixtures, and fittings, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for our guests and team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Engineering in maintaining the building, plant, equipment, fixtures, and fittings.
  • Protect the asset and ensure it remains a functional, pleasant, and safe environment for all guests, visitors, and team members.
  • Operate a variety of equipment, including small hand tools, to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Work across a 7-day roster, including early mornings and weekends, to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements

  • Experience in general building maintenance and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Previous experience working in hotel/resort/hospitality settings is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
