About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Procurement Finance to join our Finance team at IPL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the financial planning and analysis function for the Procurement department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Procurement Director and category buying managers to ensure financial performance is optimized and budget commitments are met.
  • Develop and maintain financial plans and forecasts for the Procurement and Logistics functions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Lead regular performance reviews with the Procurement and Logistics leadership team to review and challenge P&L and KPI performance.
  • Identify and quantify P&L risks and opportunities, developing action plans to optimize performance.
  • Facilitate a program for identifying, evaluating, and tracking cost-saving initiatives.
  • Provide financial leadership on change activities, ensuring they are financially viable and aligned with business objectives.
  • Maximize the potential of the Anaplan planning system across IPL procurement to drive insight and accurate plans, forecasts, and product costings.
  • Advance the use of data and technology to improve ways of working across the team.
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, or ACCA) with 3 years of post-qualified experience in finance roles.
  • Finance business partnering experience with the ability to build collaborative working relationships with internal business customers.
  • Experience working in a challenging environment with tight timelines.
  • Excellent critical and analytical thinking, with strong leadership skills and experience of leading a team.
  • Strong analytical skills (MS Excel) and presentation skills (MS PowerPoint).
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, FMCG, or Retail environment is desirable.
