Be part of a dynamic healthcare team as a Cleaner. You will have the opportunity to work in various hospitals across Melbourne, providing cleaning services to departments, wards and public areas.

About the Role

We are seeking individuals who possess excellent customer service skills, flexibility, reliability and ability to safely handle chemical and/or hazardous substances. As a Cleaner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing thorough cleaning services to all areas of the hospital
  • Safely handling and disposing of waste and chemicals
  • Identifying and recording any problems relating to cleaning services and/or safety
  • Decontaminating surfaces after clinical waste spillage has been removed by medical staff

You will also have the chance to effectively communicate with hospital staff, patients and your supervisor while receiving full uniform and PPE provided, access to staff discounts and career development opportunities.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Demonstrate flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, night shifts, weekends and public holidays
  • Show a positive attitude and commitment to delivering strong customer service
  • Hold current Police Clearance no older than 12 months and Victorian Working with Children Check (employment)
  • Meet additional criteria for some sites, including COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate outlining Full vaccination and Flu Vaccination
