We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join our team in Emergency and Critical Care.
About the Role:
As an ECC Veterinary Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering top-notch emergency and critical care services to our patients. You will work in a state-of-the-art clinical environment, equipped with the latest technology to deliver exceptional care for both patients and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional nursing care to critically ill and injured patients under the supervision of our skilled veterinarians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatment, making necessary adjustments as required.
- Assist with emergency procedures, surgeries, and diagnostics.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
- Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with the veterinary team and pet owners.
- Participate in continuous learning and development to enhance skills and knowledge in ECC nursing.
Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a veterinary nurse, preferably in emergency and critical care.
- Strong technical nursing skills, including proficiency in IV catheter placement, blood sampling, and anesthesia monitoring.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
- A genuine passion for providing exceptional care to animals and their owners.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rotating roster.
