We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our specialist timber team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering solutions for our clients.

With a strong background in structural engineering design, you will have a proven track record of managing medium-sized projects in the Australian market. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to develop and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues alike.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and manage medium-sized projects in the Australian market
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Lead and manage a small team, mentoring team members as needed
  • Deliver projects on time, on budget, and to client requirements
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in structural engineering methodologies
Requirements
  • Australian tertiary engineering qualification
  • 6-9 years of local experience in structural engineering design
  • Membership with Engineers Australia, with CPEng / NER registration desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in prestressed concrete, steel design, and reinforced concrete
  • Ideal experience in designing mass timber structures, with training provided for the right candidate
  • Experience in a consulting engineering office, including a range of project types and sizes
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial, residential, government, and/or public buildings and retail
  • Knowledge and understanding of Australian regulatory requirements and design standards
  • Ability to lead and manage a small team, mentoring team members as needed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and people skills
