About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dealership Accountant to join our Warwick Farm team full-time, reporting to the Financial Controller. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day and month-end accounting across several franchises, supervising one Assistant Accountant, and providing financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day and month-end accounting across several franchises
  • Prepare and analyse profit and loss statements for multiple franchises
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Preparation and assistance with monthly Business Activity Statement
  • Responsibility for maintaining and submitting financial reporting to manufacturers
  • Mentor and manage workflows for an Assistant Accountant

Ideally You Would Have

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an accountant in the automotive industry
  • Experience with automotive accounting software such as Pentana preferred
  • Advanced skills in use of Excel essential
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • A willingness to learn and continuously develop your skills
