Lead Kitchen Manager

The Head Chef plays a significant role in enhancing the overall quality of life for residents by providing delicious and nutritious meals. The position involves managing the entire kitchen operations, overseeing staff, and ensuring high standards of food quality and safety are maintained.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Menu Planning: Assist with designing nutritious and diverse menus catering to residents' dietary requirements, considering their health conditions, dietary needs, and preferences.
    • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook meals, using fresh ingredients, and following proper food handling and food safety protocols.
    • Quality Control: Ensure all meals meet high-quality standards in taste, appearance, and portion sizes, making adjustments as needed based on resident feedback.
    • Inventory & Budget Management: Manage the kitchen's stock levels and budget efficiently by sourcing ingredients cost-effectively and minimizing food waste.
    • Nutritional Analysis: Work with dietitians and nutritionists to analyze the nutritional content of meals, aiming to provide well-balanced and healthy options for residents.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience: A certificate in hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or higher, and Community and Health Services - Food Safety Supervisor Certification.
  • Skills: Adaptable, passionate, willing to learn, collaborative, skilled at teamwork, and effective communication abilities.
