Backend Software Engineer - Technical Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Engineer to lead our team in developing and deploying scalable, efficient, and secure Node.js applications.

This is a technical leadership role that requires expertise in backend architecture, microservices, API design, and database management. You will be responsible for designing and implementing backend solutions aligned with product requirements, collaborating with developers to deliver new features, and ensuring high-quality code.

  • Design and implement backend solutions using Node.js (NestJS) and/or .NET
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and maintain high-quality code
  • Review code, mentor and coach junior developers
  • Manage product releases, provide production support, and troubleshoot incidents
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Create clear technical documentation, including release notes and templates

You will be expected to stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and ensure that all technical decisions align with the company's goals and objectives.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Strong experience with Node.js (in particular NestJS) and/or .NET
  • Proficient in database design and management, particularly with PostgreSQL
  • Experience with CI/CD using Azure DevOps and Ansible
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AWS services such as EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, and Amazon MQ
  • Skilled in backend architecture, microservices, and API design
  • Able to assess and prioritize change requests, manage incidents, and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Experienced in writing clear technical documentation and collaborating on scalable system designs
  • Passionate about continuous learning, mentoring others, and contributing to a high-performing team
  • Salesforce experience would be highly regarded.
