Job Overview

As an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting and assisting licensed aircraft maintenance engineers to perform maintenance tasks under supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in performing aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with approved data and under the guidance of licensed engineers.
  • Report any significant aircraft defects to the supervising LAME.
  • Participate in business improvement initiatives by contributing suggestions or supporting implementation as directed.
  • Organise and complete assigned maintenance tasks efficiently and under LAME supervision.
  • Apply developing technical knowledge to assist LAMEs with troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or electrical issues.
  • Work efficiently within the maintenance team, following directions from senior technicians and LAMEs in a careful manner.
  • Assist LAMEs and senior technicians with investigations of aircraft incidents or maintenance issues, contributing to implementing corrective actions where appropriate.
  • Follow instructions and safety guidelines provided by LAMEs and supervisors at all times.
  • Attend regularly scheduled training sessions to become familiar with internal procedures and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills or equivalent qualification.
  • 5+ years' experience in Mechanical in a Line or Base Maintenance environment.
  • Experience working within a Safety Management System.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Proven organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Customer-focused approach.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of PART 145 regulatory framework.
  • Resourceful and lateral thinking.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment. A strong focus on safety and quality is essential, as well as the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
