The Role
As a Caseworker with our Bega team, you will play a vital role in supporting positive placements within the region. You will be part of a dynamic team that works across the child protection spectrum, from family preservation, permanency support, restoration, and adoption. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional support to vulnerable families, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide case management and support services to families in need.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with community networks, professionals, and stakeholders.
- Conduct assessments, interventions, and evaluations to inform support strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and optimal outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant policies, procedures, and legislation affecting the child protection sector.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent qualifications.
- Demonstrated understanding of the complexities facing vulnerable children and families.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a high-performing team.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective community networks.
- High level verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding and commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity, Work Health and Safety, Cultural issues, and the NSW Child Protection system.
- Current driver's licence.
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Clearance and obtain a NSW Working with Children Check clearance number and/or ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card.
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
