Auxiliary Firefighter Role

This role offers an opportunity to be part of a vital team responding to emergencies and promoting community safety.

  • You will respond to fire incidents as part of a team.
  • Promote community safety through education activities.
  • Develop competencies through regular drills and training courses.

Leadership Competencies: You will be assessed on leadership skills including vision, results, accountability, strategic leadership, idea stimulation, decision making, talent development, relationship building, and sound governance.

To succeed in this role, you must lead effectively, drive accountability, foster healthy workplaces, pursue growth, and demonstrate good governance.

Requirements
  • Hold a current Blue Card.
  • Obtain employer consent for emergency attendance (if applicable).
  • Reside or work near an auxiliary fire station.
  • Be an Australian Permanent Resident.
  • Possess a Manual C-Class driver's license.
