We are seeking a highly skilled Global Trade Compliance Specialist to provide expert guidance on regulatory export requirements across Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific. This includes compliance with US, Australian, and New Zealand legislation.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing robust internal controls for trade control compliance, directing trade control activities, and providing expert guidance on incorporating trade control requirements into program and functional processes.

As a key liaison between our organization and customers/suppliers, the Global Trade Compliance Specialist will analyze the applicability of trade control requirements for both Defence Contracting System (DCS) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) procurement methods.

Additional responsibilities include assisting with the planning of export licensing requirements for contracted activities and potential future activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance on regulatory export requirements to stakeholders
  • Implement internal controls for trade control compliance
  • Analyze the applicability of trade control requirements for DCS and FMS procurement methods
  • Assist with the planning of export licensing requirements

Requirements

  • Knowledge of sovereign Australian export controls regulations, US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and US Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Acquisition experience in the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) or Prime Contractor organization
  • Effective communication and influencing skills working with managers and supervisors

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law, or related disciplines
