About the Role
As a key member of the Centennial Coal Company Limited team, you will play a critical role in leading the Airly Electrical team and overseeing electrical operations on site. With a strong focus on safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, you will be responsible for managing the life cycle of electrical assets, overseeing statutory compliance, and maintaining forecasts for capital and operating expenses.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the electrical engineering budget and ensure effective resource allocation
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the electrical engineering area
- Coach, mentor, and develop direct reports, with a focus on career growth and development
- Collaborate with the Mine Manager to drive business outcomes and achieve operational targets
Requirements
- Tertiary level qualifications in Electrical Engineering
- NSW Electrical Engineering Manager Certificate of Competency / Mutual Recognition (or higher)
- NSW Electrical Engineering Manager Practising Certificate
- Compliance to the Learning and Completion Hours of the Maintenance of Competence for Practising Certificates
- A minimum of 3 years previous experience working in a leadership role in an underground coal mining environment
- Sound computer literacy skills
- A commitment to safety and operational targets
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Positive attitude towards team leadership and mentoring
