Job Title:

Retail Store Associate

About the Role: We are seeking a Retail Store Associate to join our team. As a key member of our store staff, you will play a critical role in achieving sales targets and providing exceptional customer service.Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the achievement of store sales targets by building strong relationships with customers and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Ensure that all customers receive a positive shopping experience by maintaining a high level of product knowledge and being able to answer any questions they may have.
  • Maintain a safe and clean shopping environment by adhering to company health and safety procedures and ensuring that all stock is properly stored and displayed.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash and card payments while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve store goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of products and services offered by the company, including features, benefits, and competitor activity.
  • Participate in visual merchandising activities, such as creating displays and arranging merchandise to maximize sales potential.
  • Stay up-to-date with company policies and procedures, including those related to customer service, health and safety, and security.
  • Perform other duties as required by management.
Requirements:
  • You must possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • You should be highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively, managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • You should be confident and assertive in your approach to customer service, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting sales targets.
  • You should be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • You should be willing to learn and develop new skills, with a strong commitment to ongoing training and development.
  • You should be physically fit and able to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and move quickly around the store if necessary.
  • You should be available to start immediately or have a current availability of at least 16 hours per week.
  • You should have a reliable means of transportation to get to and from work.
Qualifications:
  • You must be at least 16 years old.
  • You should have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • You should have relevant retail experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • You should have basic numeracy, literacy, and verbal communication skills.
  • You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • You should be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds rarely.
