Technical Support Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Level 2 Service Desk Technician to join our IT team within a prominent Government agency in Brisbane's CBD. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support and service desk operations.
About Our ClientOur client is a well-regarded Government body that values development, respect, integrity, and teamwork. They are seeking a talented individual who can contribute to their highly collaborative IT department.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting approved software packages, including electronic lock & security systems, surveillance systems, digital signage, and user security integration.
- Assisting with data exporting, importing, and ID card production.
- Preparing reports aligned with internal Government processes and standards.
- Troubleshooting and supporting approved internet security measures.
- Managing and cultivating business relationships.
- Day-to-day service desk operations, triaging, and escalating tickets through the organisation's ITSM tool.
- Base level networking - cabling, switching, and routing.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Prior experience in a Queensland Government body is desired.
- Experience with Service Desk Plus ticketing software.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability and proven success working in a team.
- Experience in the following technologies will be highly regarded: Office 365 E5 Application stack, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Azure, Exchange, SharePoint, Intune, ZScaler, troubleshooting of iOS and Android devices.
