About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team at Kincare. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality in-home care services to older members of our community in the Queanbeyan area.

As a permanent part-time employee, you will enjoy guaranteed hours close to home, with a focus on delivering exceptional care and support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Domestic Assistance: Ensuring the home of our customers is safe and comfortable, with a focus on cleaning and organization.
  • Assisting with meal preparation and shopping, providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities.
  • Providing personal care, including getting customers up, showered, and dressed for the day, managing medication, and assisting with mobility and therapy goals.
  • Offering respite and emotional support, as well as social support and transport to appointments.
  • Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia.

Requirements
  • A genuine passion for assisting older members of our community to live independently at home for longer.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle – travel is part of the role.
  • The ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, prioritizing the needs of our customers.
  • Availability to work at least 3 days – Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work.
