About the Role

Citadel Securities is seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer - Intern to join our team. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement automation scripts to streamline repetitive tasks and resolve systematic issues
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and deliver green-field engineering solutions for issues based on root cause analysis
  • Own incident management and resolution, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our applications, including end-to-end flow across various technologies and business processes
  • Provide support and ensure applications are production-ready, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong background in computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems
  • Fully proficient in at least one modern structured programming language, with Python or Java preferred
  • Experience with current software development tools and practices, including testing, source control, build systems, and CI/CD
  • SQL and database experience, as well as web UI experience with JavaScript, CSS, and React, are strong pluses
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and passion for learning and adapting to changing requirements and technology
