Employees at this level work under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse/Midwife, however at all times the Enrolled Nurse retains responsibility for his/her actions and remains accountable in providing nursing/midwifery care.

- Support the Registered Nurse/Midwife in the provision of person-centred care
- Work under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse/Midwife
- Retain responsibility for his/her actions and remain accountable in providing nursing/midwifery care
Requirements
- Must be enrolled or eligible for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate
