
Financial Risk Analyst

As a seasoned financial analyst, you will be responsible for evaluating financial data and credit reports to assess credit risk and recommend suitable lending solutions for customers.
We are seeking an individual with expertise in financial analysis and credit risk assessment to join our team in Sydney.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate financial statements, bank statements, and non-traditional data to assess credit risk and make informed decisions.
- Provide efficient and effective financial analysis and credit risk assessment through performing detailed assessments of applicant profiles, industry risks, and financial positions.
- Build meaningful relationships with peers, internal stakeholders, and other teams to support business performance and maximize value proposition.
- Clearly communicate with customers and brokers to gather information required to make decisions and provide professional recommendations.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications preferred, preferably in a field related to finance or economics.
- Previously held DLA for commercial/business lending, demonstrating expertise in credit risk assessment.
- Solid business acumen and sound knowledge of SME market, including industry trends and challenges.
Desirable Skills
- Strong analytical skills, with ability to interpret complex financial data and credit reports.
- Experience working with data in risk or analytics role advantageous but not essential.
- Proficiency in finance products embedded in Point-of-sale environment is beneficial but not necessary.
