Project Overview

Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is currently working alongside a successful natural energy resource provider seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to assist at their open cut coal mine in the Mackay region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and prepare project deliverables for surface infrastructure projects related to haul roads, tailings dams, and other infrastructure.
  • Manage the design, procurement, and execution of projects.
  • Engage with stakeholders to investigate requirements, obtain inputs, identify risks, and understand the context.
  • Contribute to portfolio and team delivery strategies.
  • Undertake project-related duties as defined by the Portfolio Lead.
  • Define and produce scopes of work and deliverables in line with project management processes.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience delivering projects in a brownfield coal mining environment, preferably with haul roads, dams, and tailings.
  • Sound understanding of Front-End Loading processes.
  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or Project Management preferred.
  • Strong background and proven track record in projects.
  • Strong project documentation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage the engineering design process and prepare project deliverables.

What We Offer

This is an ongoing contract position with a leading owner-side company, based in the Mackay region, with a 5/2 roster and WFH flexibility. The position reports to the Portfolio Lead and delivers projects in the Mine Portfolio of up to 20M USD.
