Job Description

The primary focus of this fixed-term position is on teaching, leadership, and service related to teaching activities. The Associate Professor will lead teams to design and develop courses and materials that influence teaching across multiple disciplines.

This role requires a strong emphasis on delivering learner-centric, research-informed teaching practices across different levels and modes of delivery.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the discovery and adoption of innovative teaching practices at university level.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead teaching teams to develop innovation in curriculum design to inform unit/courses and materials which influence teaching across discipline within the university.
  2. Review and refine units and courses across disciplines within the university.
  3. Integrate industry, clinical, and/or research practices to inform unit / course design across discipline in peer institutions or nationally.
  4. Deliver high-quality HDR supervision opportunities with timely completions.
  5. Develop and promote the university research collaboration and industry partnership agenda and priorities.
  6. Recruit and supervise HDR students with productive outcomes.

Requirements:

  1. Registered as a registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  2. PhD in a relevant discipline.
  3. Distinguished scholarly learning and teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
  4. Internationally recognised research reputation underpinned by publications in high quality journals.
  5. Demonstrated success and passion for leadership of teaching, research, and/or administration.
