We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mathematics Educator to join our team at St John Paul College, Coffs Harbour. As a Mathematics Educator, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and helping them achieve academic excellence.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position commencing in January 2025. As a Mathematics Educator, you will be responsible for teaching Mathematics to students in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Mathematics to students in a way that is engaging, interactive, and tailored to their individual needs
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the curriculum requirements and promote student learning
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that promote student learning and well-being
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in Mathematics education

Requirements

  • Hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check
  • Have full accreditation with NSW Educational Standards Authority (NESA)
  • Comply with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead Policy upon appointment
  • Have a knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school
  • Provide evidence of qualifications in a specialised faculty
  • Able to work as a member of a committed team of professional teachers, dedicated to providing quality teaching and learning in partnership with the parent community
  • Ability to teach another subject
  • A willingness to contribute positively as part of a professional learning community
  • Applicants need to be willing and able to participate in and support the religious dimension of the College
