About Us

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative sushi chef who can lead our kitchen team in all aspects of Japanese food preparation.

  • Manage the sushi table and supervise the main kitchen, ensuring seamless operation and excellent quality control.
  • Develop and implement innovative sushi recipes to delight our guests.
  • Cook guest orders with precision and flair, adhering to high standards of presentation and taste.
  • Maintain impeccable food safety standards and train other staff members to do the same.
  • Select premium ingredients for optimal flavor profiles.
  • Experiment with new sushi and Japanese cuisine specialties to drive customer engagement.
  • Coach and mentor junior chefs to reach their full potential.
  • Determine menu offerings and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
  • Work efficiently and accurately during peak periods, prioritizing tasks and managing stress effectively.
  • Take direction from our administrative team while maintaining autonomy in your role.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds a relevant diploma or higher qualification.
  • Possesses substantial experience as a senior sushi chef.
  • Demonstrates expertise in authentic Japanese cuisine, including sushi, desserts, and garnishing.
  • Has a proven track record of training and supervising kitchen staff.
  • Displays a solid understanding of budgeting principles and performance targets.
  • Aware of purchasing, ordering, receiving, food costing, and inventory procedures.
