Position Details

This exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Mental Health Specialist to join our dynamic team in Bankstown. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing evidence-based assessment and treatment to young people experiencing mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans to address the unique needs of each client.
  • Collaborate with young people, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Provide counseling, therapy, and support services to empower young people to achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service strategies, promoting best practices and continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

  • Possession of tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or Mental Health Nursing.
  • At least 3 years of clinical experience post-qualification, with a strong understanding of recovery-focused practice and its application in mental health settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to maintain a clear understanding of mental health issues, their impact on communities, and the importance of early intervention.
  • A valid Australian driver's license is essential, as travel may be required to access clients and participate in community events.
