Strategic Media Buying Director

We are revolutionizing the way brands connect with global audiences.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping our presence and business in Sydney.

You will work closely with advertisers from prominent agency holding groups.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Trading Specialists and Senior Trading Specialists to achieve exceptional results.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop growth strategies that meet clients' objectives.
  • Design and implement RTB buying strategies, optimization algorithms, and data visualization to drive campaign success.
  • Mentor clients on best practices for The Trade Desk platform and provide insights on improving campaign effectiveness.
  • Analyze data and client feedback to create optimization strategies and offer solutions for complex campaigns.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define features and enhancements that improve the platform.
  • Become an authority on trading best practices, creating training resources and internal guides.
  • Effectively communicate The Trade Desk's value proposition, technology, processes, and partnerships to grow current client accounts.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in programmatic DSP and/or online ad operations.
  • 3+ years of client-facing experience & team management experience.
  • Strong leadership skills: ability to set goals, measure accomplishments, hold team accountable, and provide feedback.
  • Experience working with ad exchanges, aggregators, ad servers, and other optimization platforms.
  • Solid experience in trafficking and optimizing CPA, CPC direct marketing campaigns in an RTB environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with collaboration skills in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Proven track record of growing accounts by building strong relationships with clients and recommending effective strategies.
  • Effective time management skills – ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter – able to tackle new clients or territories with minimal guidance.
