About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Principal Engineer to lead our Overhead Wiring team in Queensland. As a key member of our national Rail team, you will be responsible for enhancing our capabilities and reputation in the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively maintain effective networks and relationships to drive business and client outcomes.
  • Comply with all role-specific HSEQ obligations and establish project OHS&E objectives and targets.
  • Promote the continual improvement of best practice OHS&E and Quality systems and behaviours.
  • Coach others in the identification and management of ethical issues associated with the area of work or practice area.
  • Provide technical review of work performed by the team and expert technical input to a diverse range of projects.
  • Mentor junior engineers in technical, project delivery, and client relationships.
About You

We are looking for a proven leader with extensive experience in Overhead Wiring and Safety in Design. You should have knowledge of establishing project quality and risk management systems, project communications integration systems, and a solid understanding of contracts and commercials as related to project delivery.

RPEQ qualified (or eligible to be so) and have a Bachelor's degree (Engineering) or Equivalent. You should also have Queensland Rail design and checker competencies and proven experience in Overhead Wiring at Principal Engineer level or above.
