Key Responsibilities:
Oversee mechanical engineering operations on-site, managing a team that may include Project Engineers and Cost/Planning Engineers. Gather essential design parameters for integration into comprehensive designs and construction specifications. Ensure quality control and accuracy of incoming materials and equipment, verifying work drawings and specifications against site conditions and implementing necessary adjustments. Coordinate the engineering team's activities, manage workloads, and provide both technical and administrative support to ensure project objectives are met efficiently. Guarantee timely and budget-compliant project engineering completion. Document completed tasks, incurred costs, and utilized materials while maintaining progress drawings. Delegate tasks and assist in reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotations and agreements for accuracy and compliance with standards. Engage in future planning for machinery, equipment, and labor needs. Direct site surveys and preparatory work prior to construction. Collaborate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and planning authorities to ensure successful project completion. About You:
A degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering. Proven experience in project engineering with a solid understanding of project management principles. Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical engineering, complemented by hands-on experience in similar settings. Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations and their implementation. Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to engage and motivate others. Personal values that align with McConnell Dowell's commitment to safety, integrity, customer focus, teamwork, and excellence.
