About the Role:

Wamarra, a majority Aboriginal-owned civil contractor, seeks an experienced Project Engineer to lead our delivery team in the Riverina region of NSW.

This role will be pivotal in steering and growing our NSW business, with opportunities to step up and lead the business as we progress and evolve.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating and administering construction engineering activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and safely.
  • Participating in monthly financial reviews and providing cost forecasts to understand cost to complete.
  • Leading and supporting a strong safety culture.
  • Managing the construction program and implementing mitigating measures to keep the program on track.
  • Demonstrating financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years relevant civil construction experience.
  • Sound understanding of typical construction specifications used in the Australian construction industry.
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience.
  • Drivers license and own transport.
  • Flexibility with regional/remote work.
