Mathematics Tutor Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Mathematics Tutor to join our team of experienced educators. As a Tutor you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of your students and help them achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high quality tutoring sessions to students in VCE Specialist Mathematics.
  • Develop and implement customized lesson plans tailored to each student's needs and learning style.
  • Assess student progress, identify areas of improvement, and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes student engagement and motivation.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and teachers regarding student progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching methodologies.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and session notes.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with maths curriculums and teaching methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Hold a study score of 40 or above in VCE Specialist Mathematics.
  • Have strong knowledge of VCE Math Methods and Specialist Maths curriculum (Uni Maths is also preferred but optional).
  • Be a past VCE Graduate.
  • Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Be able to work with diverse student populations (various learning styles and abilities).
  • Be reliable, punctual, and flexible in scheduling.
