About the Position

This is a permanent, full-time role requiring general availability from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

Your primary responsibilities will include supervising the outbound team to ensure that all orders are despatched in a timely and cost-effective manner.

  • Supervise warehouse staff in day-to-day operations of distribution center, ensuring compliance with procedures and record keeping.
  • Provide training, coaching, and development to staff members in your team, including promoting safety initiatives and best practice processes.
  • Engage with freight companies to maintain service level agreements.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Customer Service, Purchasing, Marketing, etc., to ensure both outbound and overall business objectives are met.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by the Warehouse Manager while promoting process improvement initiatives.
About You

To be successful, you will have:

  • Certificate III in Warehousing or other logistics qualifications preferred but not essential.
  • A forklift license highly advantageous.
  • 5+ years' experience in a large, complex warehouse environment.
  • Experience leading and coaching team members.
  • Willingness to chip in and support the achievement of team goals as needed.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers.
  • Personal resilience under pressure.
  • Intermediate skills with WMSystems, MS Office, Excel.
  • Previous experience using warehouse tracking and operational software packages.
