Role Summary:

A Speech Pathologist is required to support children who are deaf or hard of hearing. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for assessing children in accordance with Healthy Hearing Monitoring Guidelines, planning and developing programs to meet their needs, and providing speech pathology sessions for NDIS and Medicare clients with a hearing loss.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including clinics, schools, and homes, and to contribute to the development of resources and programs that promote inclusive communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment
  • Assess children in accordance with assessment schedule and write formal reports.
  • Plan and develop programs to meet the needs of the child.
  • Implement therapy programs.
  • Provide appropriate, timely and effective clinical management.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Speech Pathology.
  • Speech Pathology Australia Certified Practising Membership.
  • NDIS Worker's Screening Check.
  • Working With Children Check/Blue Card.

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Evidence of ongoing education/professional development relevant to the Deaf & Hard of Hearing population.
