Senior Facilities Manager Role

The Senior Facilities Manager oversees the maintenance and engineering functions to ensure guest safety, comfort, and satisfaction while safeguarding assets.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional advisory support to senior management to assist in meeting strategic objectives.
  • Plan and execute proactive maintenance throughout the Hotel to maintain high standards for a positive guest experience.
  • Manage and analyze the Maintenance Request System to optimize its performance.
  • Delegate repairs and maintenance to the facilities team or contractors as required.
  • Drive improvements in resource utilization and conservation.
  • Conduct regular testing of fire alarms and emergency lighting as mandated by local authorities.
  • Liaise with senior directors regarding contractor usage, expenditure control, and work standards.
  • Ensure cost-effective and hygienic waste removal from Hotel areas and monitor cleanliness levels.
  • Liaise with front desk and housekeeping teams for prompt room turnarounds.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified engineer or facilities manager with a proven track record.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems.
  • Health and safety practices and regulations expertise.
  • Australian Standards related to facilities management.
  • Body/Owners Corporation experience.
  • Excellent project management skills.
