Job Title: Horticulturist

We are seeking a skilled horticulturist to join our team in Caulfield, Melbourne.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the beauty of gardens and landscaped areas across Metro Melbourne.

  • Selecting, planting, pruning, and maintaining various plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers in gardens and landscaped areas.
  • Mowing, watering, fertilizing, and weeding lawns to ensure they are healthy, well-kept, and visually appealing.
  • Preparing soil by fertilizing, mulching, aerating, and amending it for optimal plant growth.
  • Identifying and treating plant diseases and pest infestations using safe and effective methods.
  • Safely handling and maintaining gardening tools and machinery (e.g., mowers, trimmers, and sprayers).
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess relevant trade certificates to at least Certificate III level plus 2 years supervised working experience or agreed substitute.

  • Have a minimum 2 to 3 years (preferably more) working experience in this industry since you acquired your qualifications.
  • Demonstrate excellent team skills, patience, and empathy.
  • Be prompt and reliable with excellent time management skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Full-time, Permanent
  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Rotating roster
  • Weekend availability
