Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our dynamic Public Law - Commercial team in Canberra. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with expert partners to deliver high-quality legal services to government clients.
Your primary focus will be advising Australian government clients on ICT, government procurement, and contracting matters, with a particular emphasis on ICT projects. You will engage in complex, high-value, and nationally significant projects undertaken by governments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide practical and solution-oriented ICT, procurement, and commercial advice to government clients
- Draft high-quality contracts for government agencies
- Supervise other lawyers and contribute to business development
- Support partners in a collaborative and innovative team environment
We are looking for a candidate with:
- 5+ years' experience as a commercial lawyer working with government clients
- Procurement and general commercial law experience
- Strong technical, analytical, drafting, and research skills
- A collaborative and team-focused attitude
- Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
- Motivation to learn and innovate
