Job Summary
This is a vital position in our data department, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable data transformation pipelines and data models using DBT and Snowflake. You will bridge the gap between our data platform and business stakeholders, using your skills in SQL, Python, DBT, and Snowflake to build and maintain the data models that power our analytics and business intelligence.
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Developer with strong proficiency in SQL for complex querying and data manipulation. Experience working with a cloud data warehouse, specifically Snowflake, and demonstrated proficiency in building reports and data visualizations using a BI tool like Tableau, is highly desirable.
The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail, as well as strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Data Modeling & Transformation: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data transformation pipelines and data models using DBT and Snowflake.
- Report & Dashboard Enablement: Build and optimize the curated data marts that power our business intelligence tools. Collaborate with BI specialists to develop and maintain key reports and dashboards in Tableau, ensuring they are fed by clean, reliable, and performant data.
- Data Quality and Governance: Implement and automate data quality tests, documentation, and lineage within our DBT projects. You will be accountable for the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of data delivered to the business.
- Data Extraction & Scripting: Use Python and SQL to perform data extraction, validation, and ad-hoc analysis. Develop scripts to automate data processes and enhance our analytics capabilities.
- Requirements Gathering: Work directly with business stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements for analytics projects, translating business needs into technical specifications for data models and reports.
- Insight Support & Collaboration: Assist in the interpretation of data, clearly document data models and definitions, and support the communication of insights to business stakeholders in an understandable format.

To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Strong proficiency in SQL for complex querying and data manipulation.
- Experience working with a cloud data warehouse, specifically Snowflake.
- Demonstrated proficiency in building reports and data visualizations using a BI tool like Tableau.
