Traffic Management Specialist

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Traffic Management Specialist to join our team in Queensland. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, managing, and removing temporary traffic control schemes and signage in compliance with Queensland Main Roads standards.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to direct traffic safely using a stop/slow bat and other approved devices, even in adverse weather conditions. You will also be required to coordinate effectively with construction teams, emergency services, and other road personnel, conducting site checks and monitoring traffic behaviour to proactively identify and report hazards or incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, manage, and remove temporary traffic control schemes and signage
- Direct traffic safely using a stop/slow bat and other approved devices
- Coordinate with construction teams, emergency services, and other road personnel
- Conduct site checks and monitor traffic behaviour
Requirements:
- A valid QLD Traffic Controller Licence (TMI/TCR)
- A Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- A QLD Driver's Licence
- Minimum 2 years' experience in traffic control
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods
- Proven teamwork, adaptability, and dependability
