The APS5 Practice Manager position is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic healthcare team at RAAF Base Tindal in the Northern Territory.
This role involves overseeing the day-to-day management of the facility and being directly responsible for managing a wide range of administrative and coordination activities to ensure the provision of high-quality healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) members.
Key responsibilities include managing workforce rosters, budget allocations, and workplace health and safety requirements, as well as conducting governance and quality assurance activities.
Effective communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Experience in managing a healthcare facility
- Confidence in working independently
- Sound judgment and clinical knowledge to make decisions that are in the best interests of patients and comply with legislation and Defence policies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop productive relationships with various stakeholders both internal and external to Defence
