Water Project Leader

As a seasoned project leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our water-related projects.

This exciting opportunity is part of our Australian expansion plan, and we are seeking an accomplished professional to join our Victorian team.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring that our water projects meet client expectations, timelines, and specifications while contributing to the financial growth of our organization.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with senior engineers and design managers to develop and execute comprehensive project plans aligned with our corporate framework.
• Developing detailed project schedules, monitoring budgets, tracking progress, and delivering exceptional results.
• Providing regular updates and reports on project progress and outcomes.
• Implementing and monitoring project safety plans to uphold our commitment to workplace safety.
• Identifying and mitigating risks to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Conducting meetings with stakeholders to set expectations and discuss project results.
• Assisting in bid preparation and proposal development.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal teams.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Tertiary qualifications in engineering, science, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a project manager or engineer looking to transition into a project management position.
• Prior experience working in a consultancy environment is highly valued.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing client engagements across government, water, environmental, construction, and infrastructure sectors.
• A solid understanding of project management frameworks, preferably with certification (e.g., PMP) or working towards attainment.
• Broad knowledge of water infrastructure projects, including networks, treatment plants, resources, dams, and hydropower.
• A strong commitment to safety, with a deep understanding of WHS best practices.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a high level of commercial acumen.
• A proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Experience in contract management and subcontractor agreements.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
