Job Opportunity

A skilled nurse is required to join an oncology and medical day unit team. The successful candidate will have experience in caring for complex cancer patients and be able to administer chemotherapy safely.

About the Role
  • Deliver high-quality patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Administer medications, including chemotherapy, in a safe and controlled environment
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Administer medications, including chemotherapy, under the guidance of a medical team
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the team
  • Ensure seamless transitions of care by collaborating with other healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with a relevant health authority
  • Experience in oncology nursing, preferably in a day unit setting
  • Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

This is a permanent part-time position, working 80 hours per fortnight. The successful candidate will rotate between the oncology and medical day unit, delivering chemotherapy and complex medical infusions to patients.
